We started with a cart, a dream, and a whole lot of weekends. What began as a husband & wife catering operation grew into something we never could have predicted — a loyal community that pushed us from pop-ups to a permanent home. We had something to prove, and our people made sure we proved it.

The Founders — Husband & Wife
Smack Dessert didn't start in a storefront. It started on weekends — sacrificing summers, family parties, and vacation time to show up for strangers who quickly became our biggest supporters. We both work full-time corporate jobs. We built this on nights, weekends, and pure will.
At our peak, we were running up to 15 events in a single weekend. Weddings, birthday parties, corporate events, local festivals — we sold out multiple times and kept showing up. We even sold donut bombs as pickup straight from our apartment.
Here's what's wild: 98% of what we built in that first year came from one product — our signature Smack Donut. One product. One vision. Thousands of believers.
What makes us most proud isn't the numbers — it's the people. We've built real relationships with clients who became friends, event planners who trusted us from day one, fellow vendors who welcomed us, and supporters who never stopped asking us to open a store. Over $7,000 given back in year one. This isn't just a dessert brand. It's a community we genuinely care about.
Opening a store was never the plan. We started Smack for fun — hoping for maybe one to four events a month if we were lucky. But the community had other plans. Now we’re proud owners of a brick & mortar — built by the people, for the people. That’s Smack.
